This year we presented you the“intelligent cable drum”. The idea of the intelligent cable drum, measures the available cable by DATAEAGLE and is developed for the German cable manufacturer LAPP. The DATAEAGLE Beacon is an industrial radio transmitter which measures, stores and passes on information to a gateway. The IoT Edge Gateway DATAEAGLE 7050 is the perfect connection between sensor / Beacon and cloud and turns a normal cable drum into an intelligent cable drum in the sense of IIoT.

In addition, we have presented our new Wireless IO-Link solutions, point-to-point connection and the wireless transmission of IO-Link sensor data to the cloud. The data radio system DATAEAGLE 4000, which is well established on the market, transmits PROFINET data to the controller and by extension with an IO-Link Master with PROFINET interface also IO-Link sensor data. The Cloud Connectivity for IO-Link sensors is realized by the DATAEAGLE PI solution concept. The IIoT Gateway DATAEAGLE Pi in combination with the software CODESYS IO-Link Master can be docked and thus transfer IO-Link sensor data into the Cloud.
