Circular polarization

The polarization of an antenna describes the direction in which the oscillations of the electric field propagate. One differentiates between horizontal and vertical linear polarization (VP), and right-handed circular polarization (RHCP). Transmitting and receiving antennas should have the same polarization. The use of unequal polarized antennas can lead to losses or no radio connection at all.
