For over 30 years Schildknecht AG has been a manufacturer and system provider for industrial radio data transmission. Our core competence is safe and stable radio transmissions as required in crane technology, water management, stage technology, paper & pulp industry, hoisting gear, lift and cable car systems, transport vehicles (AGVs) and many others. For these applications we developed the product line DATAEAGLE radio systems for industrial use. Our patented Wireless PROFIBUS and PROFINET as well as openSAFETY solutions, which are also suitable for safety applications.
We were also pioneers in the field of M2M communication, which is more commonly known today as IoT (Internet of Things) or the Industrial Internet of Things. Together with our customers we design individual business models in the context of IoT and Industry 4.0, based on our mobile gateways DATAEAGLE 7000 with globally usable SIM cards at a standard rate and our device cloud solution DATAEAGLE Portal.

The DATAEAGLE radio data transmission system is the alternative wireless technology to slip rings, mobile trailing cables and optical data transmission systems (more info in this blog article). Different product families DATAEAGLE 1000 to 6000 cover many protocols: serial (RS232/485Analog/Digital (IO), PROFIBUS, PROFINET & PROFIsafe, ETHERNET/IP & CIP Safety, Modbus/TCP, openSAFETY via UDP, CAN & CANopen, and IO-Link. Converters IO to fieldbus or PROFIBUS to PROFINET are also possible.
