DATAEAGLE 3000 – Wireless MPI

Our product line DATAEAGLE 3000 was developed especially for Wireless PROFIBUS. One variant of the series is suitable for an optimal, reliable radio connection for MPI connections to Siemens controllers. Experience yourself!

Wireless MPI – In practice

Generally, sensor and application data from machines are transferred from the field level to a controller for processing. If this is to take place wirelessly in view of moving parts, e.g. in sewage treatment plants or cranes, radio links are used that are aligned with the respective fieldbus: The modules of the DATAEAGLE 3000 series “speak and understand” PROFIBUS. The devices with MPI interface are suitable for integrating, for example, a panel or an MPI programming device via radio to program the control system.

Wireless MPI – Product features

The DATAEAGLE 3715A-MPI may be integrated into a MPI network. In addition, the radio systems are easy to connect and commission like a cable – Plug & Play. Bluetooth 2.4 GHz is used for the radio transmission, which enables transmission speeds of up to 1.5 Mbit/s. There are three different housing variants: classic (IP20 ), compact (IP 20) for control cabinet mounting and X-treme (IP65) for use in direct industrial environments or outdoors.
