Schildknecht AG supplies many radio data transmission systems to the crane technology sector. The basis of most industrial automation projects today is field bus technology with communication via protocols such as PROFIBUS or PROFINET. The spatially distributed system components are networked and connected to a central PLC. This is also the case with crane technology, where all system components must interact with high precision and reliability. Particularly sensitive cable sections such as conductor rails or trailing cables no longer have any room there and are replaced in the plant network by cable-free radio links between two or more radio modules.
